You grow them to move forward

Is it the empty desk or shared loss under the entire roof?

Students sitting at desks in a classroom focused on their work.

The grind usually starts in the summer as you and the team reset for another upcoming year. Grow the skills, stay informed on regulation and policy changes, find the staffing, and keep the energy building towards the 'go live' date when all the customers show up. This process is vital for providing effective educational support to your community.

Rubrics and syllabuses to tweak, funding to find, volunteer teams to motivate, and all hands for weather delays and early release are part of the preparation.

Most local governments, private school systems, and home-schooling networks strive to deliver the best care for the team and high-achieving students. However, is the team prepared to meet the internal and external demands that come with this responsibility?

You: Whether you are in leadership, a team leader, teacher, assistant, custodial, or food service worker, we all touch the customers. Each position faces challenges in meeting goals, dealing with a rigid workplace that operates by the clock, and being asked to do more with less. Who is checking on me? Am I asking for help, venting, or unloading frustrations during every meal on the next person who asks to go to the bathroom or is on their phone?

Your Team: The primary child education sector is under close scrutiny to deliver growth and help launch initiatives without flaws or missed steps from the team. The reality is a balancing act of short staffing, call-outs, and everyone wearing at least five hats from first bell to final lights out. Does the team miss the signals when a member stumbles? Does the meeting include sympathy, empathy, or simply earplugs? Are team members isolated on emotional islands, or are they collaborating in a hallway of success? Can we handle the grief of losing a student or faculty member while maintaining teacher wellness?

Your Customers: With internal customers heavily focused on the administrative and regulatory aspects, external customers include parents, guardians, and a wide range of moods and maturity variations. And let’s not forget the influence of grandparents and helicopter parents seeking daily access to the classroom. How can the team stick together amidst this dynamic, and where do we funnel the daily drama? How do you manage outside grief that enters your workplace from various angles? Can our words help maintain the stability of the classroom?

Next Steps: A 60-minute ICISF-based advising session for your organization will not only provide immediate impact on your team’s words and actions but will also enhance team collaboration. We don’t engage in marketing harassment. When you’re interested and ready to move forward, reach out.
